So pleased to have played at the Sound Lounge for the Brian Wilson Tribute Night on the 5th July.
The night was hosted by my dear friend Paul Sexton. Paul had interviewed Brian on three occasions over the years and like me was deeply affected by his passing. We therefore did the only thing we could and organise a tribute night at our favourite venue The Sound Lounge. Paul took the picture of me in my candystriped shirt and delivered a brilliant night with a host of local players doing their bit. I think our only slip up was to not film the night. But then the night wasn’t about us it was about Brian. I sang 4 numbers to a sold out crowd, Little Deuce Coupe and Surfin USA in the first half of the evening and then Funky Pretty and Sail on Sailor in the second half. We also heard Heroes and Villians, Midnights Another Day, Love and Mercy and other numbers from Hey Kids Rock’n’Roll Sean Bright, Chris Narayan, Joe Kinsey Tom Reid, Dan Culli plus Danny George Wilson and Craig Edmonds
